PAYMENT POLICY
Party Billing
Payment is accepted through PayPal or Venmo. Once payment is received, you will receive confirmation for your event. Events are not considered fully booked until we have sent confirmation that the payment was received.
If you would like to work with your Game Runner on custom upgrades after your event is booked, those are subject to the same process of payment confirmation. Upgrades requested within seven days of your event will incur a $25 fee. Upgrades requested within three days of your event will incur a $50 fee. Upgrades requested within 48 hours of your event, if your Game Runner can accommodate, will incur a $100 fee.
Any requested upgrades not paid for before the start time of the event will be void. Full cash payments for upgrades at the time of the event are accepted.
Club Billing
Games are billed in monthly sessions. Sessions start in the first week of the month, and an invoice will be sent in the days before the first meeting of the session. Payment is due before the second meeting of the session. Late payments will incur a $10 fee. Players will not be able to participate in a new session until all prior games and fees have been paid.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Party Cancellation
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to your event. At the time of cancellation you may choose to either request a refund or reschedule your event. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before your event will not be refunded or rescheduled, except in cases of illness.
Club Cancellation
Novel Games requires 24 hour notice for game cancellations and absent players. If you will be unable to make it to your game, contact us through our website or reach out to your Game Runner as soon as possible. If we do not receive notice, your players will be marked as absent and you will be charged as if they participated. If you give 24 hour notice, your players will be marked as a cancellation and you will not be charged. Your money will either be transferred to the next session your child plays or, if you are withdrawing entirely, refunded.
Please Note: If you withdraw from a game in the middle of a month, you will only be refunded for the games your child has not played, not the games they took part in. Cancelling or dropping after the session is over or during the game itself will not result in a refund, as you will not have met the 24 hour notice deadline.
For Drop-In Players: Players are considered present if they play for thirty minutes or more and will be charged as normal.
DROP-OFF POLICY
Club Policy
Novel Games requires a responsible adult to be present for players ages 13 and under. If you cannot stay with your child, you must inform the game runner who the present responsible adult is. Leaving a child age 13 or under alone without a responsible adult will result in a $15 fee. If your child is left without an adult after it has ended, you will be charged $5 for every five minutes the Game Runner waits with your child. If waiting with your child causes the Game Runner to miss their next game, you will be charged the entire dollar amount for the game the Runner missed.
